Hi, I’m Scarlett - a Cornish photographer with nearly eight years of experience behind the lens. My photography journey began at university, where I studied Photojournalism and Documentary Photography in Cheltenham. From there, I went on to work as a journalist for four years—honing skills like shorthand and using my photography to capture powerful press imagery.

Alongside newsroom life, I’ve built a freelance career photographing everything from weddings and beachside family shoots to dog shows, festivals and equestrian events. I’ve worked with national and regional media outlets including The Mirror, Daily Mail, The Telegraph, The South West News Service, Plymouth Live, Cornish Times, Falmouth Packet and commercial clients, creating images that help promote brands, tell stories, and spark connection.

I’ve also self-published three documentary photo books—projects close to my heart that reflect my passion for real, honest storytelling. I specialise in documentary-style photography and love nothing more than shooting at sunrise or sunset on the beach, when the light turns golden and the colours come alive.
